About Us

The 2nd Annual Bridge International Screenplay Competition (located in the heart of New York City) is a global effort to bring undiscovered writers to the forefront of the film industry. We have strong ties with thousands of directors, agents, producers and executives world-wide representing everything from low-budget indies to Hollywood blockbuster films. We are currently in our second year and have plans to expand this website significantly to further promote our past winners and finalists to an unprecedented degree.

We're Green!
Bridge is making drastic strides to be one of the first completely paperless screenplay competitions. Our goal is to start a new industry trend to reduce waste and take advantage of technology's vast possiblities in accepting and reviewing our entries. In addition to our mode of operations being eco-friendly, we also host this website and all related web applications and services on green servers.

Our Philosophy
We pride ourselves on offering screenwriters a simple, straight-forward approach to getting involved in Bridge. There is no emphasis on the "frills" of traditional contests - the focus remains on the work and assisting our winners and finalists in bridging the gap between them and success. This competition is for serious writers with serious aspirations to get their work out there. We recommend those seeking cash prizes or free subscriptions to go play the lottery. The Selection Process
Our distinguished and ever-evolving panel of judges will sift through each and every entry, giving the utmost individual attention from cover to cover. Unfortunately, such fairness, care and precision in the screenplay selection process is rare these days but we aim to raise the standard.

Writer Privacy
Protecting our entrants' work is a top priority for Bridge. Although we recommend you copyright your scripts before submitting, it is not required and you are certainly in good hands, regardless.
